Say what? How am I elusive – I am right here! No, the title of this posting isn’t referring to yours truly. It is about my quest to find another Mrs. Meldrum – who is a teacher – and who would like the poster I created a few years back while I was still in the classroom. Teachers love posters. I love posters. And this is a personalized, three-foot long poster – super cool, if you ask this nerd! Now, I am sure you might ask yourself, “Why is Carolyn posting this in her rv adventure blog?” and I would respond that you have a very good point indeed. It will all make sense very soon!
I scoured the Ontario College of Teachers website to find a Mrs. Meldrum who is currently in the classroom. Many of the ones I found are no longer teaching (i.e. retired). Of the ones remaining, I checked on Facebook (is that creepy or just effective sleuthing?) to find that none of the female teachers with the surname Meldrum are married, so they aren’t indeed Mrs. Meldrums. But hark, I did find a Mrs. Meldrum who is currently a teacher – in Vancouver! And, I just so happen to be heading to British Columbia in a couple of weeks! So, my plan is, while we are in Vancouver, we will bring this poster to her by dropping it off at her school.
Is this crazy? Perhaps! Dave seems to be on board with my idea, so that is enough reassurance for me. So…our quest to find the mysterious and marvellous Mrs. Meldrum is underway! (Oh, by the way, if you know a Mrs. Meldrum who is currently teaching and you believe she would like the poster, please drop me a line!)
